James Gibson jailed for 11 years over the bashing murder of Gippsland father Glen Sullivan

A psychotic man who thought he was Adolf Hitler reincarnated has been jailed for at least 11 years.

James William Gibson bashed a father of seven to death with a baseball bat in Gippsland on Good Friday last year.

The Supreme Court heard the 20-year-old was in the grips of a drug-induced psychosis and likely suffering from schizophrenia when he murdered 41-year-old Glen Sullivan.

Gibson faces 15-years’ jail with a non-parole period of 11.
