Jaeger O’Meara’s ominous warning to the competition
Jaeger O’Meara has issued an ominous warning to the rest of the AFL, telling Sportsday he’s still got plenty of improvement to come.
O’Meara, who has faced a long road back to his best after a knee injury and change of club, was impressive in Hawthorn’s win over Geelong on Easter Monday.
But the former No.1 draft pick says there’s more to come.
“I’m still not where I want to be,” he said.
He also weighed in on the criticism of teammate Cyril Rioli.
Debate has raged this week about his influence on games, given his five-possession performance against the Cats that’s split opinion.
“I’m glad his on my team and not the opposition,” O’Meara said.
