Jacqui Felgate’s snap reaction to damning Commonwealth Games report

A final report in Victoria’s doomed Commonwealth Games bid fundamentally shows the Allan government isn’t trustworthy, according to Jacqui Felgate.

A select committee investigating the Games’ cancellation has slammed the government’s decision to bid for the event, while also criticising how cost blowouts were handled.

“This was a $598 million mistake,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“I don’t think it matters what side of politics you’re on, this is a government that is untrustworthy.”
