Jacqui Felgate urges federal government to make Australia Day decision

Over 200 pubs across the nation have banned the celebration of Australia Day in their venues for 2025.

Australian Venue Co. who owns the 200 pubs have made the decision to axe Australia Day celebrations due to the “sadness” and “hurt” the day brings for staff and patrons.

3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate believes the government must a make a decision on whether Australia Day is here to stay or if the date will be changed.

“I feel like the government is half-pregnant on this issue,” Felgate said on 3AW Drive.
