Jacqui Felgate urges Allan government to ‘dump’ SRL project

The Allan Labor government’s plan to build the Suburban Rail Loop has taken a big hit, with federal body Infrastructure Australia saying the benefits of the SRL have been “overstated”.

Infrastructure Australia have low confidence in the cost estimate for SRL East, which presents a massive risk for the SRL East project and the SRL program as a whole.

On 3AW Drive, Jacqui Felgate weighed in on the news, stating the Allan Labor government must “dump” the SRL project.

“The Allan Labor government needs to cancel the rest of the Suburban Rail Loop, ” Felgate said.

“The government needs to dump this project and they need to dump it now.”
