Jacqui Felgate tees off on ‘completely unacceptable’ emergency Triple Zero outage
Jacqui Felgate has teed off on the “completely unacceptable” emergency Triple Zero outage which occurred across the state yesterday.
The Triple Zero computer and dispatch system was offline for nearly two hours between 5:30pm and 7:15pm on Wednesday, with fire services unable to track their fleet, and dispatchers having to resort to pen and paper during the chaotic period.
“This is third world stuff and it is unacceptable,” the 3AW Drive host said.

Assistant Secretary at the Victorian Ambulance Union, Olga Bartesek, detailed what it was like for paramedics and call takers during the outage and has called for a back-up computer system for future outages.
And station officer and United Firefighters Union representative, Doug Lukic, has also voiced his frustration at the “inaction” from the state government.
“This is just another incidence of inaction and neglect by the emergency services minister and the Allan government,” Mr Lukic told Jacqui Felgate.
