Jacqui Felgate pleads with government to take action on gender-based violence
Jacqui Felgate says it’s time to finally take action to curb the rate of gender-based violence in Australia.
The government on Wednesday handed down the first National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children report card, which is aimed at tackling gender-based violence.
In a passionate editorial on 3AW Drive, Jacqui said it was time for policy makers to “stand up” and take control of the systemic issue in society.

“Let me be very clear – when it comes to the government and policy making the time for talking is over,” she said on 3AW.
“We as the general public can talk about it and we should, but now the leaders of this country need to stand up and put proper policy on the table.”
