Jacqui Felgate has been left angered after the teenager behind the sickening kidnapping of a 15-year-old boy outside Glen Eira College last year, walked out of court yesterday scot-free, receiving an 18-month supervision order with no criminal conviction recorded.

Benjamin Phikhohpoom was the boy at the centre of the kidnapping, who suffered permanent brain damage after being robbed, forced into a car, and dragged along the road for hundreds of metres at 70 kilometres per hour.

“When do we say enough is enough?” Felgate said.

The 3AW Drive host said the “thug” behind the kidnapping faced 49 charges, including luring a 13-year-old girl and telling her to take her clothes off.

“This breaks my heart,” she said.

“If that is the law that is applied in this instance, then the law and the courts are broken.”

One of the parents of a student from Glen Eira College, Russell, whose daughter was only metres away from the attack, has been left “furious” from the recent development.

“I’m devastated for Ben’s parents,” Russell said.
