A $1.5 billion hospital funding lifeline has left a massive hole in the Victorian budget, with the treasurer not ruling out taxes or cuts to other areas to fill it.

Treasurer Tim Pallas admits it’ll be a struggle to find the promised $1.5 billion dollars for the hospital sector and can’t rule out new taxes.

Premier Jacinta Allan joined 3AW Drive and was asked about where the money will be coming from for the hospital sector lifeline.

“The most funding our hospitals have ever had, and it’s the funding they have told us they need,” Allan said on 3AW Drive.
