‘I’ve been pretty crook’: Caroline Wilson struck down by COVID-19

Veteran football reporter Caroline Wilson has been struck down by COVID-19 while visiting her daughter and granddaughter in Amsterdam.

She arrived in the Netherlands in early October, when Amsterdam was “freedom city”.

But cases have “progressively started going nuts” and Caroline Wilson, who is fully-vaccinated, was among those who fell ill.

“I’ve been pretty crook, I have to say,” she told Ross and Russel.

“It’s not much fun, and I’m fully vaccinated … terrible fevers, terrible headaches, difficulty sleeping, lost my sense of taste and smell completely.

“I wouldn’t recommend it.”
