‘It’s not designed for him’: Sly’s interesting take on the sentencing of Noah Balta

Sly of the Underworld has weighed in on the sentencing of Richmond defender Noah Balta, who has avoided jail time for his assault in December last year, and instead will serve an 18-month community correction order and a three month night curfew.
Sly called out the AFL and Richmond’s “stupidity” in the handling of the situation, and thought the penalty handed down by the magistrate was a “masterstroke”.
“It’s not designed for him, it’s designed for the AFL,” Sly said on 3AW Breakfast.

“Anyone who knows anything about the legal system knows you keep yourself a low profile … so what do the AFL do? They bring him back because the AFL is a sovereign state and it has its own rules.
“The AFL thinks hubris is a Greek seasoning for roast lamb.”
