Iconic AFL umpire ‘Razor’ Ray Chamberlain has announced that he will be hanging up the whistle at season’s end. He umpired over 380 games, including three grand finals.

Razor Ray joined 3AW Afternoons to discuss his retirement decision, the role of umpires and key moments throughout his career as an AFL umpire.

“It’s not a popularity contest, we are an on-field instrument of policy that’s made above our pay grade,” Chamberlain said on 3AW Afternoons.
