‘It is a mess’: Jacqui Felgate criticises Jacinta Allan as frustrations escalate with police

Jacqui Felgate has criticised Premier Jacinta Allan for deflecting the blame onto the police force for not wanting a protest permit in Victoria.

The 3AW Drive host has spoken with some senior police officers today, who are becoming “increasingly frustrated” with the Premier.

“Hang on, the last time I checked, police enforce the law, and the government makes it,” Felgate said.

“This is not a police problem, this is a government problem.

“It is a mess, we are deflecting here, our police have enough to deal with.”

2GB presenter Ben Fordham then compared what the protests in New South Wales are like compared to the ones in Victoria.

“When I look at some of these things unfolding I think well we don’t see that here,” Fordham said on recent protests in Melbourne.
