Investigative journalist from The Age, Nick McKenzie says China has been trying to “supplant” Australia from its position as Fiji’s key policing partner.

He says China is trying to grow its influence over the Pacific region and pointed to an uncovered video which shows Chinese police arresting Chinese criminals in Fiji.

“You got to see what that hard power by Beijing looked like, it was terrifying,” he told Ross and Russel.
