‘Interim breakthrough’: Why Victoria Police has paused industrial action
Secretary of the Victorian Police Association, Wayne Gatt, has shed light on the “interim breakthrough” Victoria Police has made with the state government.
The police union has been fighting for a four per cent pay rise and the introduction of nine-hour shifts, and an agreement has been made today which has halted the industrial action for the time being.
“The pressure is on now for everybody to actually deliver,” Gatt told Tony Jones.
