‘Incredibly traumatic’: Virgin Australia flight crew attacked in Fiji

Virgin Australia flight crew have been the victims of an alleged sexual assault and robbery while celebrating New Year’s Eve in Fiji.

Federal secretary Terri O’Toole says the crew have been advised to stay in their hotel rooms.

“I know it’s an incredibly traumatic time for the crew and they need to have their privacy respected at this time,” she told Shane McInnes, filling in for Tony Moclair.

The Fijian Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka in a statement revealed police have interviewed a suspect known to them and investigations are continuing.
