‘I’m so sorry’: Artist apologises after venue prevented a mother and her baby from entering show
A mother from Geelong has expressed her frustration after she was denied entry to an Angie McMahon concert at The Forum last night.
Jasmine says she was getting her ticket scanned, when staff at the door pulled her aside, and refused entry as her five-month old was in attendance.
“The staff was really respectful, they did offer us some alternatives to return on Friday night, but obviously without my daughter,” she told Jacqui Felgate.

She’s revealed she’s reached out to the human rights equal opportunity commissioner.
“I have reached out to the minister for women. as well creative industries,” she said.
Angie McMahon says she would have been fine with a baby in her audience.
“I’m so sad, I’m so sorry it’s happened. We’ve had some newborns at some other shows on the tour and it’s been so special,” she said.

The Marriner Group who manages The Forum has told 3AW Drive in a statement, they’re respectful of the situation and the event was licensed general admission standing.
“The promoter has offered for the customer to come back to attend the show on Friday instead, but without the baby, and hope that is an agreeable solution for everyone.”
