‘I’m sick of it’: Tom Elliott fed up with ‘absolute scandal’ around Comm Games workers

Tom Elliott believes the continual paying of Commonwealth Games bureaucrats months after the event was scrapped is an “absolute scandal”.

According to reports on Wednesday, at least 50 staff contracted to work on the event have been put on gardening leave while their exits are finalised.

Tom says he is sick of the continued fall out around the event, which was shelved in July as a result of a cost blow out.

“At lot of (these workers) will not have been working for a year and a half at full pay,” he said on 3AW Drive.
