‘I’m a big boy’: Ben Carroll responds to questioning over police helicopter drama

Acting Premier Ben Carroll has responded to Heidi Murphy’s questioning over the police flying a helicopter over his press conference on Tuesday, as the ongoing pay dispute drags on.

The 3AW host likened the antics by police to a “stunt”, but the acting Premier stopped short of calling the situation “inappropriate”, stating he understands the actions taken by police.

“I’m a big boy, I can handle that sort of stuff,” Carroll said on 3AW Mornings.

“I’m a proud union member myself, so I understand they will use what resources they see fit to get their message across,” he said.

The acting Premier also spoke on the reshuffle in the state government, the School Saving Bonus, teacher shortages, payroll tax for private schools, the house landslide at McCrae earlier in the week and more.
