RUMOUR CONFIRMED.

The beloved Lygon Street restaurant Papa Ginos has been sold by its owners after 51 years.

Founded in 1973 by Gino Brosca and his wife Silvana, Papa Gino’s has been serving delicious Italian cuisine in Carlton for over half a century.  Gino Brosca’s children Alex, Rose, Vincent, Paul and Harry all owned the business until it was recently sold.

Owner Alex Brosca joined 3AW Breakfast to talk about why the Lygon Street icon has been sold to new owners.

“We’ve all gotten to that stage of our lives where physically we are all falling apart,” Brosca said on 3AW Breakfast.
