Cheryl Barassi, the wife of Ron Barassi, recently has had health battles which led to her taking a overdose of medication, before being taken to hospital by her friend.

Cheryl doesn’t qualify for help under the voluntary assisted dying laws, but does she deserve a choice?

Mitchell said you should be able to make your decision “if you have intolerable pain and a sound mind”.
