‘I feel sick’: Independent MP says ‘entrenched culture’ in Parliament must change
Independent MP Zoe Daniel says she doesn’t personally feel unsafe in Parliament, but there is an “entrenched culture” which needs to change.
Ms Daniel told Neil Mitchell the “unusual environment” in Federal Parliament is “lends itself to the kind of issues that we’ve seen”.
“I have to say that after this week in Canberra I feel revolting, I feel sick, I feel disappointed, I feel like we’ve been dragged backwards this week, but I do think that the culture is changing, the awareness is increasing and we have to just keep at it in terms of changing that culture,” she said.
