‘I feel for him’: The suspended player Matthew Lloyd has sympathy for

Matthew Lloyd says he feels sorry for one of the players banned by MRO Michael Christian on Monday.

GWS forward Toby Bedford has been suspended for three weeks after a sling tackle on Richmond’s Tim Taranto, which left him concussed.

Lloyd said on Wide World of Sports said he had sympathy for the Bedford following a recent crackdown on dangerous tackles.

“Every time you lay a tackle now there’s a risk that someone gets concussed,” he said on 3AW.

“I feel for (Toby) Bedford.”
