North Melbourne CEO Jen Watt and Wide World of Sports host Sam McClure have clashed over the club’s call to sell two home games to Western Australia from next season.

The Roos will play ‘home’ games against West Coast and Fremantle in Bunbury in 2025, while in 2026 will completely withdrawal from their commitment to Tasmania.

Sam McClure questioned Ms Watt directly on the club’s “cash grab” decision to sell home games to Western Australia, saying North Melbourne fans would “feel hurt” by the call.

“I think we’re reducing our travel and bringing back games to Melbourne,” she said on Wide World of Sports.

“We’re giving ourselves ever chance to win so I don’t agree with you.”
