Har?ry Potter star Alan Rickman has died at the age of 69 after battling cancer.

Alan Rickman, known for a wonderful range of roles including Harry Potter’s Professor Snape to the bad buy from Die Hard to the would-be cad in Love Actually, has directed his second feature film. 

Alan Rickman plays King Louis XIV in the romantic drama A Little Chaos, which opens in Australian cinemas March 26.

The movie stars the exquisite Kate Winslet who plays Sabine, a young woman working in a man’s world, who is asked to design a garden at the Palace of Versailles.

The film, which also stars Stanley Tucci, draws you in to a world of passion and drama with brilliant performances and sumptuous settings.
