Husband speaks out after pregnant wife gets hit by stolen car in Albert Park

A husband has spoken out on 3AW Drive, after his wife, who is 36-weeks pregnant, was hit by a stolen car while driving in Albert Park last Thursday.
“It is the stuff of nightmares … my heart breaks for this family,” Jacqui Felgate said.

Youth offenders fled the scene after the crash, with the pregnant woman having to spend four days in hospital.
“She can’t completely remember exactly what happened because it just all transpired so quickly,” husband Daniel said.
“It’s obviously a horrible situation that’s left us both extremely anxious that it happened.”
Victoria Police have released the following statement on the incident:
Emergency services attended a collision in Albert Park on 27 March.
It’s believed a stolen Range Rover, trying to manoeuvre through heavy traffic, struck a vehicle at low speed from behind on Ferrars Street just after 5pm.
The four occupants from the stolen vehicle fled the scene on foot. The driver of the vehicle that was struck, a 34-year-old Brighton East woman, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the offenders. The investigation remains ongoing.
