Lord mayor of the City of Melbourne, Nicholas Reece, has shed light on the council plans to build three big towers at Queen Victoria Market.

Tom Elliott can’t understand why there needs to be more big office buildings and apartments in the CBD, with the 3AW Mornings host highlighting the amount of buildings with “virtually no tenants” at the moment.

“It’s going to bring a lot of high quality and affordable housing to Melbourne, and really activate that part of the city,” Mr Reece said.
