How Victorians impacted by the Optus hack can have their licence record flagged
Victorians impacted by the massive Optus data breach can now flag their licence record.
Once flagged, VicRoads will prevent any unauthorised changes or access to individual information through the Victorian licence database and flag the licences with the national database.

When filling out a form to have their licence flagged, Victorians can tick a box requesting their licence number be changed.
But VicRoads acting chief of metro transport Alan Fedda says he can’t provide a timeframe for when licence details will be changed.
“We’re still waiting for information from Optus … as to which specific Victorian accounts or drivers licence numbers have been impacted,” Mr Fedda said.
“By filling out the form it allows us to put a flag on your records and that will prevent any changes to information such as your name or your address, and it also allows us to alert the national database.”
Victorians have been urged not to attend a VicRoads customer service centre regarding the Optus breach.
