President of the Victorian branch of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, Anthony Tassone, admits he is “very concerned and worried” for the supply chain of medication if changes are made to medical prescriptions.

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) have proposed changes to medical prescriptions which could save Australians $180 a year, but Mr Tassone is not on board with the idea.

“We’re very concerned and worried what that would mean for the supply chain,” Mr Tassone told Neil Mitchell.

“This has been groundhog day for years, this is pre-dating the COVID pandemic, the medicine supply shortage situation.”
