How key contract extension gave North Melbourne a ‘big boost’ ahead of marquee clash

Harry Sheezel says teammate Luke Davies-Uniacke’s re-signing has given the club a “big boost” as they look to keep building into the 2025 season.

North Melbourne will be searching for their second win of the season when they take on Carlton in the now traditional Good Friday clash at Marvel Stadium.

And fresh off Davies-Uniacke’s seven-year contract extension, Sheezel told Shane McInnes he’s confident momentum is continuing to build under coach Alastair Clarkson.

“We were pretty hopeful and certain he was going to stick around,” he said on 3AW.

“It gave us a big boost when we got told (he had re-signed), we have a lot of our players signed on long term now so we’re fully invested into the process of the club.”
