The resilience of students at a primary school on the outskirts of Melbourne has been lauded after they finally managed to perform their school musical.

It had been cancelled nine times in four months due to COVID-19.

All 250 students at Kangaroo Ground Primary School took part in The Lion King production on Monday.

“It’s been quite a journey,” teacher, producer and director Sarah Carruthers told 3AW Mornings.
