3AW host Shane McInnes had some strong words for Victorian Housing Minister Harriet Shing to kick off the 3AW Drive program today.

It comes after McInnes was left “stunned” following the bail of three teenage boys, with a fourth on the run after an alleged stabbing attack on a Melbourne train.

“How the minister can make that statement with a straight face is bewildering,” he said.

President of Master Grocer’s Australia and Operations Manager at the Reddrop Group, Lincoln Wymer, then weighed in on Shing’s comments on youth crime in the state.

“It’s good that the rate is down, it’s the weight and the gravity of those offending that’s the problem,” Mr Wymer said.

He then went on to detail the toll the youth crime crisis has taken on the supermarket industry and its employees.
