How buses could be the key to fixing Melbourne’s congestion
One hundred million private trips could be taken off the road if buses were heavily invested into according to a committee.
Chief executive at Committee for Melbourne, Mark Melvin, says buses are a critical part of answering congestion in Melbourne.
“People don’t use buses … because they’re not felt as reliable … bus lanes, 10 minute services, more buses, change the routes because you have to do that in order to make it workable for everybody,” he told Jimmy Bartel.
