How an expert thinks Australia’s tourism campaigns could be improved
International visitor numbers have risen from 50 per cent of pre-Covid levels to almost 80 per cent but experts say more can be done.
Marketing expert Andrew Hughes says that tourism campaigns should put an emphasis on marketing to specific age groups as well as utilising Australia’s social media appeal.
“The new market wants buzz, and they want that all the time,” he told Jimmy Bartel.
