Horse trainer demands answers after being pepper sprayed by police
A horse trainer who was pepper sprayed by police at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day is demanding answers.
Saab Hasan had returned to the racecourse shortly before 7pm on Tuesday after a successful day at the Wangaratta races only to be denied entry by police.
He presented his official accreditation but was told to move on again.
“My main concern was for the horse on the float,” Mr Hasan told Neil Mitchell.
Mr Hasan stood firm, getting a massive shock when the officer then sprayed him.
“I just want to know why,” he said.
