Hoppers Crossing man caught up in attempted carjacking — for a second time
A Hoppers Crossing man is fed up after becoming the victim of an attempted carjacking for the second time.
3AW listener Mark told Tony Jones he was driving home through Tarneit on Monday night when his car was rammed from behind.
His wife and son were in the car at the time.
“My wife was a bit of a mess when we got home,” Mark said.
Mark was also the victim of a similar incident last year after inmates escaped from the Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre.

Mark said he’s “frustrated” carjackings seem to occur on a frequent basis, and that excuses are made for the culprits.
“You know, ‘They come from bad backgrounds’ or ‘They’ve been on drugs’,” he said.
“Sorry, I don’t accept it.”
