Nine News state political reporter Heidi Murphy has weighed in on the leadership spill which saw Berwick MP  Brad Battin voted in as Opposition Leader after ousting John Pesutto.

She says the spill has resulted in a full clean-out of the leadership team and adds it’s likely the Liberals might appear to be male-dominated to the public.

“My understanding is that Brad Battin has made a commitment to having a bigger number of women on the front bench, just not in any of the leadership positions,” she told Tony Jones, filling in for Tom Elliott.
