Heidi Murphy ‘lost for words’ after Moira Deeming split-vote

Victorian Liberal MPs have voted for Moira Deeming to remain out of the parliamentary Liberal Party on Friday morning.

Mrs Deeming needed an absolute majority of 16 votes to be re-admitted, however the results of the voting concluded at 14-14.

3AW Summer Drive host Heidi Murphy had her say on today’s vote result and said she is “a little lost for words”.

“I’m not sure how its possible, but they are as of this afternoon I think, in even worse shape as they were this time yesterday,” Murphy said.

“The one thing that you’ll remember about this meeting is they can’t agree, they are a divided party.”
