Health minister’s obscene SMS slip-up

Tensions have emerged within state government ranks over the assisted dying debate.

Fairfax Media reports Health minister Jill Hennessy sent a text message to deputy premier James Merlino calling him a “c—”.

She then realised she’d sent it to the wrong person.

Mr Merlino was speaking against the bill at the time.

While numerous parliamentary sources have confirmed it – offices for both politicians are refusing to comment.
