Hazardous vapour leak in Melbourne’s west
A warning has been issued for a hazardous vapour leak in Newport.
Fire Rescue Victoria was called to the Viva Terminal on High Street at about 10.30am.
Vapour had built up in a tank, resulting in a small leak.
An advice message was issued for Altona North, Newport, Port Melbourne, South Kingsville, Spotswood, Williamstown, Williamstown North and Yarraville earlier today. The message ended at about 1.50pm.
Fifty people were evacuated from the terminal, and one was treated by paramedics at the scene.
