Hawthorn player being investigated over alleged sexual offence

A Hawthorn player is being investigated over an alleged sexual assault.

Police are investigating the reported rape of a 19-year-old woman at Ashwood on October 9 – just days after the club won its third consecutive premiership.

The Hawks released a statement saying they were aware of the investigation and would help police where possible.

It’s understood those involved are yet to be interviewed by detectives.
