RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Two high-profile Hawthorn players have left children disappointed after failing to show at a footy clinic held the morning after the club’s best and fairest dinner.

The Junior Footy Stars clinic – which isn’t officially associated with the Hawks – was scheduled to take place on Sunday morning in Ivanhoe with Jack Ginnivan and Nick Watson the headline guests.

But according to several parents and as flagged on 3AW’s Rumour File on Monday, the Hawks duo called in sick an hour before the clinic and failed to show up.

“My son was absolutely heartbroken,” Vaissy, who’s son was slated to attend the clinic, told Jacqui Felgate.

“He was in tears most of the day and said it was the worst day of his life.”
