‘Hard luck story’: Hawks skipper feeling for star teammate

Hawthorn captain James Sicily has commented on star teammate Will Day being ruled out of Friday night’s Semi Final against Port Adelaide.

Day won’t be available as he continue to battle a hamstring injury, with Sicily telling Wide World of Sports he was determined to keep winning so his important teammate has every chance of playing in finals footy later in September.

“We’ve already ruled him as of today which is unfortunate for him,” he said on 3AW.

“He’s played such a big part in our season and getting it back on track, there’s always hard luck stories in footy.”
