Gun surprise: Police discover 14 firearms in routine check
Fourteen guns have been found in a car during a routine intercept in Meadow Heights.
It’s been revealed the Toyota Hilux was pulled over on Malsmbury Drive about 4.30pm yesterday.
Police found a safe containing a dozen allegedly stolen firearms.
Another two gun parts and a taser were also seized from the vehicle.
Two men, both aged 46, were arrested on the spot.
One of them will appear in court today on 45 charges including possess a traffickable quantity of unregistered firearms.
A Meadow Heights man has been released pending further enquiries.
