Grief-stricken Altona family search for car stolen by brazen thieves
RUMOUR CONFIRMED
They say bad things happen in threes, and heartless thieves have ensured that’s the case for an Altona family gripped by tragedy.
MeiLing Egan’s 32-year-old brother died in hospital after a long battle with depression on Monday.
That same day her uncle was involved in a car crash and remains in the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
And, as revealed on the 3AW Rumour File, her other brother’s car was stolen on Tuesday.
Inside Brad’s car were photos to be used for his brother’s funeral.
Ms Egan pleaded with anyone who has seen the four-week-old White Range Rover to contact police.
She said the thieves struck while her brother was home.
‘Brad’s like ‘I can’t believe I did hear that’,’ she told 3AW News.
‘That’s how tired we are.
‘We’re mentally and physically and emotionally drained.’
