Greens slammed for ‘unacceptable’ ANZAC Day event

The Greens have been slammed for what is being described as an “unacceptable” event slated for ANZAC Day.
While other political parties are pausing campaigning on the day, the Greens were planning a rave party in Perth to support local federal MP Sophie Greer, an event which has since been cancelled after widespread condemnation.

“The (Greens) don’t represent Australia, they represent themselves,” McInnes said on 3AW Afternoons.
“It is unacceptable for a political party to use the designated public holiday to raise money for itself and not even take the opportunity to recognise the solemnity of the day.”
