Green tree frog has lifesaving surgery after being run over by lawn mower
An outback green tree frog has had life-saving surgery, after being run over by a lawn mower.
The frog was flown to a specialist frog hospital, Frog Safe in Cairns.
He even had to go through airport security and was x-rayed.
The unnamed frog, which is believed to be two or three years old, is recovering at home in Mt Isa.
Frog Safe say they don’t name frogs they treat to avoid becoming attached.
‘We don’t name frogs that are to be released back into the wild.’ – Frog Safe told 3AW.
