Government calls to sell iconic artwork ‘Blue Poles’, estimated to be worth $350 million

There’s calls to sell iconic painting Blue Poles, located in the NGV, it’s is estimated to be insured at $350 million. 

Neil asks the question, Is it a good idea to sell blue poles? – ‘Our interest bill is about 100 million a day, you sell ‘Blue Poles’, it’s gone by Monday.’

Victoria Senator, James Patterson wants to sell the painting, he spoke with Neil.

‘It’s one of the most expensive paintings in the world, and as you pointed out, it’s an American painting.’ 

Neil says he’s all for selling it – ‘But, I want something concrete, something that benefits people directly.’
