Gorilla Kanzi celebrates second birthday at the Melbourne Zoo

Young Kanzi the gorilla is celebrating her birthday at the Melbourne Zoo.

The now two-year-old was treated to a selection of nuts and sultanas as well as an icy birthday cake.

Kanzi shared her tasty treats with her mother Kimya, father Otana and ‘auntie’ Yuska.

Melbourne Zoo keepers also have an important message to share on Kanzi’s birthday… Make sure you recycle your old mobile phones.

Money raised in the refurbishment and resale of old/unused mobile phones supports both Gorilla Doctors in Africa and Melbourne Zoo’s own conservation programs.
