‘Gone another level’: Fresh anti-semitic incident sparks outrage

David Southwick says he’s shocked by the latest incident of anti-semitic abuse.

As first reported on 3AW Drive, Jewish footballers playing for Ajax have been targeted, with the South Junior Metro Football League (SMJFL) currently investigating.

The Liberal Member for Caulfield – where Ajax is based – says anti-semitism has gone to “another level” amid the ongoing war in the Middle East.

“I’ve never seen (anti-semitism at this level) like this before,” he told Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings.

“It has gone another level when you’re seeing schools hit and local footy clubs being hit.”
